Derek and his wife Pat were very involved with the Tauranga Coastguard for many years, Derek as rescue crew and Pat as a radio operator who, after 22 years’ service to Coastguard, was recognised with the presentation of a Queens Service Medal in 2019. Derek has been the Tauranga Business Chamber Small Business Advisor for twelve years enjoys helping new and established businesses in improving their operation and bottom line. Derek is in his ninth year working in real estate and still gets a buzz from the daily interaction with clients.
