Liam joined JLL in mid-2018 whilst completing his degree. He operates in a support role which provides him with fundamental knowledge of the drivers of commercial real estate. With frequent exposure to the property environment and having pursued the sector whilst at university, he has developed a keen passion for commercial property and business. To supplement his property background, Liam was eager to generate a more advanced understanding of finance and dedicated part of his degree to this. As a result, he has a healthy grasp of financial concepts and the drivers of property cash flows, returns and the overall marketplace. Understanding the importance of work experience, early last year Liam secured a role at Telfer Young where he started in a database role before moving to a role of graduate valuer. This gave him a thorough understanding of the composition and construction of buildings paired with a sound awareness of market trends and activity. As part of the commercial valuation team, he dealt with a range of property types having a primary interest in the office sector where he utilised several valuation techniques. A keen and talented sportsman, Liam played many sports at a high representative level which provided him with key leadership and decision making skills. His motivation to succeed in such an environment has allowed him to apply this to his career, wherein he is driven to perform and source the best solutions for his clients. He is a people person and enjoys building long-lasting relationships.
